Wrapped Banano is the cryptocurrency Banano in the form of a wrapped token on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Polygon, and Fantom. Being announced in early 2021[7][8], wBAN was officially released in June 2021 on BSC[9][10]. 3 months later, Polygon chain[11] was supported as transaction fee on this network is much lower than others. On March 5, 2022, exactly 9 months after the launch on BSC, wrap-that-potassium announced wrapped Banano on Fantom.[12] On November 1, 2022, wrapped Banano is officially live on Ethereum.[13] In December 2022, wBAN is available on Arbitrum.[14]

The token wBAN is minted and burned when Banano is wrapped and unwrapped, respectively.[15]

Farming wBAN[edit | edit source | hide]

wBAN technically can't be staked. Using farms, users can earn more wBAN by providing liquidity.[16]
On BSC, there are 3 wBAN farms: wBAN, wBAN-BNB and wBAN-BUSD.[17][18]
On Polygon chain, only pair wBAN-wETH is available.[19]
On Ethereum: wBAN-ETH.
The reward is reduced by time. [20]
