A list of all Discord roles on the Banano Discord server Some of these roles are also used on other official Banano Discord servers.

Roles

Citizens

Main article: Citizens
One of the most common and basic role on the server. Users with this role can receive Banano/Nano rains or participate in giveaways via tip bots.

Dictators

Used for ChocolateFudCake and Renesq, original creators of Banano. There will be just two dictators, which means no one else will have this role, and no one will have more power than them. Users can mention this role.

Jungle Council

Jungle Junta

Core team of Banano. Above-all-others but under the dictators.

BRCPD

Groups Primate and BANANO POLICE. This role doesn't grant them anything.

Primate

Primate can pin messages. Otherwise, they don't have moderation power like BANANO POLICE.

BANANO POLICE

The members of Banano Republic Community and Police Department. Their main mission is guarding Discord server, granting citizenship and investigating criminals. This role can be mentioned, however, that should be done in case of emergency only.

Zookeeper

Banano Republic is not just a Discord server. Banano is on other platforms like Facebook or Telegram, and we have zookeepers to maintain peace on our Banano territories. Although this role doesn't give them power on Discord, they have a cool lounge to communicate with others.

Jungle Fanta

Main article: Jungle Fanta
Jungle Fanta is the next step after getting the Citizens role for most people and shows that the person has contributed to the greater Banano community in some way. This can be through development work, translations for apps or websites and contributing here on the wiki just to name a few ways.

Miss Banano/Mr Banano is chosen via an annual voting.

It gives access to a hidden channel on the server where translators collaborate to localise wallets and Banano tools.

Def Ban Records

These monkeys share the hidden channel with DJ, but they are producers who can make music, sound effects and anything aural.

Banano DJ

Grants users access to a secret channel. They have more power to control the music bots, which is useful for hosting events and moderating music channels.

Users can pick this role be reacting to a message sent by Oops in event'n'stuff channel, or send the command -bananosundays. It was first introduced on December 20, 2021, during Community Call #8.

Indicates and groups the bots. All the bots have white name.

Role for Flightless_Pig#3603 only.

Monkemojis

Role for Kinnester#6969. Grants right to edit emoji and sticker for this animator.

Punishment

Dictators, Jungle Junta and BANANO POLICE moderate the server. They can use these roles to limit a user's abilities. Except Punishment White, the two other roles overrides user's name colour if they don't have one of the mod roles stated above. Additionally, Dictators are immune to any restriction.

Punishment White

Users with this role cannot send images in the chat.

BANANO JAIL

The naughty monkeys breaking rules are sent to a transparent channel where all users on the server can observe. They cannot see anything but their cell. This is the place for them to work things out.

muzzled

This role impedes user's ability to send message on the whole server.

Role of Benis bot.

Rank

The number of sent messages used to determine the rank of a user. Higher roles replaced old role when the user reach the required level.

In 2021-09, Discord added a feature for servers with level 2 boosting perk or above that allows server managers to grant emoji for roles.
